SEQUIN WAVE HEADBANDEnsemble                                     ( these cute looks you can find at Express)

Instyle had many new trends here are a few:
1. Teal eyeliner- honestly I think this would look good on any girl
2. Peach nude lips- this is a great color that looks natural
3. Smokey blue shadow- well honestly I have always used smokey black but smokey blue is def. something new to try.
4. Neon orange nail polish- This just sound super fun
5. Baby doll colored blush- Hmm I think this would look great lightly done

BANGS: These are popular worn anyway. Swept up, chunky, shaggy, swept to the side
Ombre hair color look: This is very popular with stars like Racheil Bilson- Basically this is having dark roots, that fade to lighter ends.

My favorite hair care: "Enjoy" this is probably my favorite hair product. They have a product or pretty much any type of hair. I use all of there line. You  can buy it at Beauty supply store on Battlefield right behind Panera.

My Favorite Show: Well if you dont watch Bravo! You are nuts they have the greatest shows. On right now is Real Housewives of DC, Top Chef, Rachel Zoe Project

Wanna save money...What you didnt know about Ebay from Women's World

1. Most of Ebay's stuff is at a fixed price so you do not have to have bidding war
2. You can save up to 90 % off  on brand new fixed price item if you use Ebay's daily Deals and the shipping is free.
3. If you like to buy by Designer there are so many items to choose from Gucci, True Religion, Abercrombie and Fitch Hollister in Ebay's FashionVault.eBay.com. For you parents out there wanting to buy clothes for kids for this school year or Christmas...This is a must. I no persoannly because I have all kinds of clothese off of Ebay
4 Ebay is very serious when it comes to saying "New" and "Used" and when using designer names. If it isnt new the listing wll not say it and if it isnt designer the listing will also not say it.
5.  You can also shop locally on Ebay. You have to enter your zip code and shop at the eBayclassifieds.com

Staying healthy and getting the vitamins and nutrients you need is a big deal.
Here are some great recipies for smoothies...tell me what you think!
The Basic Recipe
1 cup mixed fresh or frozen fruit (our favorite combo is blueberries and peaches)
1/2 cup crushed ice
Combine ingredients in blender and blend on high until smooth (about 30 seconds to 1 minute).

Protein Punch
This yummy combination of nut butter and yogurt gives you about 15 grams of protein and 40 percent of the calcium you need for the day.
2 Tbsp nut butter (such as peanut or almond)
1 cup lowfat vanilla yogurt
1 banana
1/2 cup crushed ice
Combine ingredients in blender and blend on high until smooth (about 1 minute).

Tropical Immunity Blast
Drink this and you’ll get plenty of help avoiding those annoying summer colds. It has a healthy dose of immunity-boosting vitamins A and C (in the mango and papaya), probiotics (in the yogurt), antioxidants (in the blueberries) and omega-3 fatty acids (in the flaxseed oil). Plus, it’s a treat for your taste buds!

1 cup lowfat plain yogurt
1 Tbsp flaxseed oil
1 mango, diced
1/2 papaya, diced
1/2 cup blueberries
1 cup crushed ice
Combine ingredients in blender and blend on high until smooth (about 1 minute).

Post-Workout Pump-Up
The milk adds carbohydrates and protein that your muscles need for recovery after an intense workout. Ginger can also help reduce muscle aches.
1 cup skim or lowfat chocolate milk
1 cup strawberries
1 tsp minced ginger
1/2 cup crushed ice
Combine ingredients in blender and blend on high until smooth (about 1 minute).

Bone Builder
The 1/2 cup of ricotta cheese in this smoothie provides roughly a third of your daily calcium needs, while the same amount of yogurt would only give you 20 percent.

1/2 cup part-skim ricotta cheese
1 cup raspberries
1/2 Tbsp Nutella (optional)
1/4 cup crushed ice
Combine ingredients in blender and blend on high until smooth (about 30 seconds).

Feel-Good Fix
The yogurt’s carbohydrates and protein will keep you energized, while the omega-3 fats in walnut oil help optimize brain function.

1 cup nonfat or lowfat vanilla yogurt
1 cup blackberries
1 Tbsp walnut oil
1/2 cup crushed ice
Combine ingredients in blender and blend on high until smooth (about 1 minute).

  1. You did a really nice job with this, Heather! I'm in LOVE with the black sequined headband you posted from Express. Might just have to run out and get one! I was curious to know more about the Hair Care line Enjoy. I've never heard of that brand before, and I feel like I've tried just about everything out there. Is the beauty supply store open to everyone or is it like State Beauty Supply for licensed professionals only?

  2. I love the smoothie recipes--I will definitely have to try Tropical Immunity Blast! What Beauty Supply are you referring to? I thought you had to have a license to shop at those. I hope not because that would solve a lot of my problems! I use a lot of Bed Head products--very affordable and just plain awesome.

It's also nice to know that I'm finally in the "now" with the blue smokey eye shadow and teal eyeliner. I'm terrible at knowing what the trends are, so this is great!

  3. State is only open to those of you that have a license to do hair but the Wholesale beauty is open to the public and the Enjoy brand is a little pricey but it is really good on your hair. I like bed head too. They have really good products. I also love that headband. I will be getting me one of them one of these days.
